Northwood Pointe is a community in Irvine, California that has several neighborhoods within it. Residents enjoy a variety of amenities and are close to freeways, stores, restaurants, parks, and entertainment.
Northwood Pointe is comprised of several individual communities or residences; Arbor Crest, Canyon View, Lanes End, Mayfield, Somerton, Greystone Villas, Lexington II, Cristal, College, Rosegate, and Mayfield. There are about 1,940 homes in this community, and a variety of floor plans. College Residences offer attached townhouses with 1,001 square feet, and one bedroom. The Arbor Residences are priced in the millions and feature five bedrooms, three-car garages, and 4,350 square feet of living space. Northwood Pointe was built in the 1990s by the Irvine Company and is bounded by Portola Parkway, Jeffrey Road, and Culver Drive.
Irvine Unified School District maintains the public facilities for this neighborhood. Students attend top rated schools like Canyon View Elementary School, Sierra Vista Middle School, and Northwood High School. Some families may choose one of several private schools in Irvine including LePort Montessori School, Creekside Children’s Center, and New Horizon School, Irvine. College students are also close to the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and Irvine Valley College.
This community is close to several parks like Settlers Park, Hicks Canyon Community Park, and Meadow Wood Park. There are many shopping centers like Northwood Town Center and Trabuco Plaza. Irvine Spectrum is an outdoor mall which features many high end retailers. The Tustin Ranch Golf Club offers 6,842 yards of a Ted Robinson designed course. The club also has facilities for weddings, and other special events.
Irvine is a planned community of villages and is known as one of the safest cities in Orange County. This city hosts the Irvine Global Village Festival each October to celebrate diversity. The festival features local exhibits, food samplings, and entertainment.
